Mr. Malik joined Elev8 in 2024 as the President of the Business & Capital Advisory practice. He is a visionary leader with extensive experience driving innovation and growth in the manufacturing and industrial sectors. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of Meritor's commercial vehicle electrification division, which was acquired by Cummins in August 2022. In this role, he helped integrate the acquisition of Siemens' EV business with Meritor's EV business under the newly formed Accelera eMobility traction division and drove the growth of the business by developing new products and aggressively driving sales in the global commercial vehicle EV segment.

Mr. Malik’s tenure at Meritor also included his role as General Manager for the commercial vehicles’ brakes, non-drive axles, and trailer businesses in North America. In this capacity, he successfully led the business to achieve robust financial performance and operational excellence while significantly growing the Trailer business unit, particularly during and following the COVID era challenges.

Prior to rejoining Meritor in 2019, Mr. Malik served as the Vice President and General Manager for Stanley Black & Decker's Industrial Storage Division, turning around the division from declining sales to a growth organization, while integrating three brands into one operating entity.

Mr. Malik joined Meritor in 2006 and held various roles in North America and Europe, including Director of Corporate Strategy & Business Development, Director of European Operations Strategy, and Director of Meritor’s European Brakes business unit. He also held roles as Senior Director of Program Management for JLG, Oshkosh Truck’s material handling division, and Managing Director of Cooper Standard’s Anti-Vibration Business Unit.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Malik has served on the board of directors for Meritor’s joint venture for commercial vehicle brakes in Turkey and Brazil.

Outside of work, Mr. Malik is an avid golfer, car & college football enthusiast, and enjoys spending time with his family.
